Just minutes outside of Antigua, a private reserve offers panoramic views of three volcanos & the Antigua Valley. Our luxury glamping tents feature two queen-sized mattresses, goosed-down comforters, and comfortable seating. Our “Trek Truck” offers an RV toilet & hot water shower. We’ll set up a campfire for you, and have hot coffee ready in the morning!
Your experience begins at Carmona Trails, a private forest reserve just 15 minutes from downtown Antigua. From there we’ll transport you in our “Trek Truck” the 10 minutes it takes to get to the glamping site, or feel free to walk to the site (30 minutes) while we transport your luggage.
Upon arrival at our “Glamp Camp”, you’ll take in panoramic views of the Antigua Valley below and three volcanoes, including the active Fuego Volcano whose frequent eruptions put on quite a show.
After settling into your luxury tents, enjoy our comfortable seating around a campfire as the stars emerge in the nighttime sky.
In the morning, your senses will be treated to the sound of birds calling, the taste of rich Guatemalan coffee, and the smell of the pine forest that surrounds you.
Select á la carte from Carmona Trails’ delicious menu that includes dinner items such as panini sandwiches, pizza, and burgers. Breakfast options include omelets, French toast, and avocado toast. We’ll even include “s’mores” for dessert around the campfire!
Explore a well-maintained nature trail with a bilingual trip leader that takes you up through a broadleaf forested valley and cloud forest. The lush vegetation attracts several bird species such as the Emerald Toucanet and the colorful Magnificent Hummingbird. The 1-2 hour nature hike can take place either the afternoon of arrival or the morning of departure.
We’ll pick you up anywhere in the Antigua Valley and bring you directly to the glamping site, and return you to any location in the Antigua Valley the following day.
